Who We Are

Our Financial Wellness program is a program that helps individuals and families work towards the security elements of financial wellbeing. The program helps clients get control over the expenses and spending and develop the ability to absorb financial shock.

Our participants are adults who identify as Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) and commit to attending at least 6 of the 8 group classes.

What We Do

The Financial Wellness program is a two-part program consisting of 8 weekly 2-hour group classes followed by 6 months of bi-weekly individual check-ins with a financial wellness coach. The group classes are facilitated by volunteers using the FDIC’s “Money Smart” curriculum. The goal is the group classes is to increase participant’s financial literacy through lessons focused on understanding banking, income and expenses, approaches to saving, understanding credit scores, and managing debt as well as developing a financial wellness plan with goals tied to savings, credit scores, and debt reduction.

Groups and individual coaching are available in English and Spanish.
